Celebrate National Child Day

On November 20th each year, the United Nations marks Universal Children's Day to commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of Children in 1959 and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989. In Canada, since 1991, November 20th is our National Child Day.

Follow along to help commemorate and celebrate this day:

You are encouraged to take some time on November 20th to pray for all children around the world.

Please see the prayer service to mark the day (below in pdf format). We have taken the theme of indigenous children for this resource.

With great thanks to the Mary Ward Centre for providing these resources.
