Join us for a webinar on Wednesday September 2, 10-11 am EDT. India has been severely impacted by COVID-19. Marginalized communities are disproportionately affected and are suffering immensely. Canadian Jesuits International is hosting a webinar that focuses on how migrants, women, and Indigenous people in India have borne the brunt of the pandemic. Fr Pascal Xalxo SJ from the Human Life Development and Research Centre (HLDRC) and Ms Babita Biswakarma from Hayden Hall will be sharing their experiences. They both work with marginalized people and communities affected by COVID-19 in the Darjeeling region of India. COVID-19 has shone a light on systemic inequalities in countries all around the world, including India. Overcoming both the pandemic and inequality requires raising awareness and solidarity at all levels. Please join us for this important event.
