Note: Frances Teresa Ball, an Irish woman, educated and receiving her religious formation as an IBVM in York England, establishes Mary Ward’s Institute in Dublin Ireland in 1821 and later sends Sisters to many other parts of the world.

Today, Loretto Sisters in Canada work to accomplish the objectives of our mission statement in a variety of ways. These include works of education, promotion of justice and ministries of spirituality and pastoral care.
